US v. Arizona: How Much Will Arizona Pay In Legal Fees?

The United States made it official – It has sued the state of Arizona over its nonsensical SB 1070 immigration law.  The law has caused much controversy in the United States as many view it as an affront to the state’s Hispanic population and not the unauthorized immigrants that are in the state.

The United States had hinted for weeks that it intended to sue the state because of the law.  In its suit, the United States argues that the state has attempted to usurp the Federal Government’s power to regulate immigration.   The United States argues that the state has violated the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution.  How Arizona thinks it can argue that its law does not violate the Supremacy Clause, I do not know.
