The USCIS is warning immigrants that individuals not associated with it are attempting to scheme immigrants through calls requesting immigrants to provide financial information such as credit card numbers, ssn, etc.
USCIS will never ask a person for their credit card information or any other financial information. If someone calls you up claiming to be from the USCIS, tell that person to contact your immigration lawyer and do not provide them with any information. Especially financial information.
