Asylum seekers have been coming to the United States since its founding – and America has welcomed them. Asylum is available to individuals who have been persecuted, or have a fear of persecution due to race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion. Those who are granted asylum have the possibility to live and work in the United States for an indefinite duration. Additionally, one year after being granted asylum, individuals can apply for lawful permanent residency and eventually gain citizenship.
Gafner Law Firm is able to represent asylum seekers and individuals in removal proceedings. If you are interested in learning more about the services that Gafner Law Firm can provide to asylum seekers, please contact the firm.
