The USCIS recently released EB-5 adjudication statistics to the public. The statistics show an increase in the use of the EB-5 visa, including I-924 applications for regional center recognition, I-526 applications to initiate individual EB-5 Immigrant Investor Petitions, and I-829 application to Remove Conditions to EB-5 permanent residency.
According to the USCIS:
- 92% of all EB-5 applications are for Regional Center affiliated investors.
- 1,293 I-526 petitions were submitted to the USCIS in the first three months of fiscal year 2012.
- USCIS received 3,805 I-526 petitions in fiscal year 2011.
- Denial rates have also increased. In fiscal year 2011, almost two out of every five I-924 filings were denied by USCIS. During the same time period, individual I-526 adjudications were denied almost 20% of the time.
