NYC Mayor Plans National Push For Immigration Reform

NYC Mayor Bloomberg is set to announce a major initiative to advocate for immigration reform. The initiative will advocate for an overhaul of the immigration system, including the creation of a pathway to legalization for undocumented immigrants, and the creation of a more stringent fine system against companies that employ unauthorized workers.   The initiative will take a “dollar and cent” approach to immigration reform and will advocate that open borders will make the United States competitive.

The initiative includes not only the New York City Mayor, but also the Mayors of Phoenix, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Antonio; and the CEO of Hewlett-Packard, Walt Disney Co., Marriott International, Boeing, and News Corp.
