Senate Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill Introduced – And Going No Where

Yesterday the Senate introduced a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill.   The bill was introduced by Senators Menendez and Leahy. The purpose of the bill’s introduction is unclear.  It is obvious to everyone involved that the bill is not going anywhere because elections are only a few weeks away and there will be a lame duck session after the election.  The sole purpose behind the bill may be to demonstrate to voters that Democrats purport to want immigration reform.   As one immigration maven stated, it isn’t even worth reviewing.
