DOJ Settles Lawsuit Against Employer Who Refused to Hire Immigrants

The Department of Justice has announced that it has reached an agreement with a company that owns several fast food restaurants in Maine.  The company had been accused of having a policy of not hiring any immigrants.  The DOJ pursued the company as its policy appeared to violate the anti-discrimination laws of the United States – which state that a company cannot refuse to hire  work-eligible individual due to that person’s nationality.
